Land Use Consultants

As a GIS Consultant at LUC, I supported map production for a wide range of planning and environmental projects. Key tasks included geoprocessing, digitizing, figure production and best practice GIS data management.
Additionally, I helped develop and modernize map symbology as well as GIS team work via marketing projects such as a Mapathon and the 30DayMapChallenge.

I contributed to a diverse range of projects including ecology mapping, Landscape and Seascape Character Assessment, Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment, Open Space, and Green Infrastructure audits.

• Landscape Character Assessment for Local Authorities (e.g. Central Lancashire, Uttlesford, Dorset, Cornwall
• Green and Blue Infrastructure for Local Authorities (e.g. Cherwell, Thurrock)
• Sustainability Appraisal for Local Authorities (e.g. Exeter, Winchester, Basildon, Chorley, North Somerset)
• Windfarm Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for Local Authorities (e.g. Hagshaw, Muck and Rum, Craig Nab)

Alongside of having been part of an innovative and fun team comprising GIS, graphic design, web development and 3D visualisation experts, I also worked closely with LUC's marketing team. Together we coordinated the #30DayMapChallenge every year in November as well as a #Mapathon every few months.
